are emily and i set?

Ok, so emily and I have all the criteria-i think.

2 populations: 6th and 7th graders and 8th and 9th graders

What we are comparing: who uses the computer more than an hour a night for non homework purposes.

Hypothesis: 6th and 7th graders will use the computer more than the 8th and 9th grades because of the lesser amount of hw they have.

Null: There is no difference between computer usage of 6 and 7th grades and 8 and 9th grades.



All good?

Our Hypothesis

So me and deanna also forgot to post our hypothesis. Here it is: Hypothesis: 6th and 7th graders will use computers for non homework use more than 8th and 9th graders would. Null Hypothesis: There is no difference in 6th through 9th graders in regard to non homework computer use. :-)

So I Just wanted to know...

Mistake in Me and Deanna's

So I wrote before that our two populations are boys and girls, but it is really junior high and high school, so 6th-7th grade vs. 8th-9th grade.

Me n' Andres's hypothesis

We consider skiing or snowboarding once a month at least for actually skiing or snowboarding... We will do 32 people... 16 for people who ski or snowboard and 16 don't... 8 from each group will be JH and 8 will be HS

We think that that skiers and snowboarders will like snow more.

We are taking a random population of people from gunstock and people on the ski team and comparing them to people who are not in terms of "the likedge of snow" :p

our idea.... again

And to select people randomly, we'll choose every 3rd person... Will that work? 
and our populations are actually jr. high vs high school and our hypothesis is that jr. high will watch more television becuase they have less homework/more time and seem like the type of people that go home and watch tve. :)
